[solved] Player shuts itself off after 2 minutes

Hi All

Been testing my player for a few weeks now, and i have come across my first problem. :x

The media library update hangs on my player now. After reset, all is well and it try to update when i go into the music icon to choose artist, album etc.

It works when you go to the Explorer icon and choose music from there.

Just hangs when u look up album, artist etc.

Any solution much appreciated. :)

Also on my player, the radio works for a about 2 minutes and the player shuts itself off? :? Anybody have this problem on other players of diff makes and capacity size?

One final question to the forum, i know that it is essential to back up the firmware in the hidden partition as explained in the firmware section, but on my player i can't find that partition or the folders as described.

Sorting on these players use ID3 tags and these must ok, maybe you need to check your music with a media tagger.

Do you follow this to backup your player?

Re: 1st TA5-16R problem

Hi All

I have now solved my problem. I connected my player to Vista machine, it detected errors on the player and corrected them and put them in a folder00. The corrupt files are .chk extension.

All working now, only radio still shuts off, but thats not a huge problem for me.

Tried to backup my firmware, there are no folders what so ever on my player. So have no idea if firmware is in build.

But player works ok now. :D

I also contacted my seller, he has no logic of English and just ask me to return for a replacement. :x

I asked him how to check for new firmware, and what software i need etc, as i did not get any disk, he did not even bother to answer that question :x
I think i may have to fly over to China and visit his place and speak to him in Chinese to get my answer :)
I think i will fix it myself when i test my player some more and then upload a video for all to see.

Its a good player so far, all my albums, videos are on it, i have used over 8 gig of space and still has half left. :) I will make it as full as possible and see if all my albums play and my videos. :P

Stay tuned for more details 8)

Have fun.

Whew, after I read your post I was afraid it was misbehaving due to a memory hack. I'm glad that's not the case. Waiting for memory test with impatience. ..
