Battery on player doesn't last long enough
Hello, I bought a 3rd gen nano clone from ebay a few days ago.
I really like it but I have a major problem with it. The battery lasts about 3.5hours of continuous play of mp3. That's not enough. So is there anything I can do to make it last longer? The screen is always ON when I listen to music. |
The screen sucks a LOT of energy from battery, normal player behavior (and recommended for every portable device that has an LCD) is to turn off the display after some inactivity time, just like cell-phones.
In Settings menu, there is an option to turn off the display after X seconds, & another to turn off the player completely after some time... if you adjust this your battery will last much more. |
As what sndestroy mentioned above. You should definitely turn off your LCD screen while playing music as you don't need it on and it uses a lot of power.
Depending on the chipset your player has, the option to find it slightly different. But if you go into the [Settings] menu of your player, you should see an option for "LCD" or something similar. Try that and let us know how you get on. |
Re: Battery on player doesn't last long enough
Actually 3.5h is not bad for player of this type.
With screen off my player only lasts around 2.25h (160mAh battery). |
