8 GB Rockchip Touchscreen (2.8'' screen) Game problems.

So as stated in the title that's the mp4 player I have, and whenever i try to play the game on it, it is frozen (looks like tetris sort of)
Here's a few pictures if they help any, and sorry bout' the quality was taken with a cheap camera.. don't have my Xbox live vision cam on me atm.

I have tried downloading the rock chip games here and none work as far as i know but then again i don't even know if there's a game folder on my mp4 player!!!

Here's all the folder's that are on my mp4 player and if i can.. a general idea of what's inside of them.

2.4 - 2.8 AVI converter - Nothing was in it when I checked the player (Although i have put Vidrop in it since then)

2.8 - Which has 3 .txt files in it (Named : Notice, Problem Solution {and no it says nothing about the game}, and video converting)

FM - Nothing in it.

Mp4 Manual - Mp4 manual folder... - Has a bunch of Jpeg's of instructions... Nothing about the game again though .. also has a few Ms word 97-03' documents that won't open for me.. say's it is unable to load graphics conversion filter

Music - I think this is pretty self explanatory.

Photos- Same for this... Has a few photo's I have put in it.

Playlists - Nothing in it.

Video - Contains all the Video files on the player

VOICE - Contains all the recordings

WMPinfo - No idea what it's for but its not in a folder and out by them all.

That's it... hope you can help me or mabye give some suggestions or something... hah well, at least thanks for reading this xD

I honestly can't seem to get the games to work.. ah mabye someone else will know. Also my Avast! internet-shield keeps saying a site something like 7speed.info is malicious and blocks it..

you wont get games to work, or extra ones at least, if no games folder then no extra games

I don't know how to get games to work (or even video yet for that matter) on this player, but to play the tetris game, after you open it, just slide the on/off slider for a second (not long enough to turn it off of course) and the game will start.
let me know here if you figure out how to play more games.
also, how do you encode video to get it to play on this? i know the video that came with it is a low res avi of some kind, and i have a feeling that the vid needs to be less than 30 fps but i have tried many downloaded videos and none seem to work. if you know of a conversion program that works let me know. the instructions that came with it were for converting to amv, but i think they are old instructions for an older player because this player clearly plays only avi's.

if your tetris game starts as soon as hyou select it from the menu you cant load games

if a menu appears first were u select a gae to play then it can

but i am 99.999999999999% sure if u have that player then forget it, they do not work

download vidrop from downloads section
320x240 @20fps avi xvid MP" audio only - very very very specific

thanks makd511,
too bad about the games thing. is this because this is just a very crappy player or because it is newish or because of the touch screen or what? it only cost me less than 50 bucks CDN online so i am not too worried about it.

i already figured out the video thing using this forum a little while ago. i just used the generic rockchip 320x240high preset in vidrop, and it worked well.

i already tried a few videos that worked, although now i am trying the batch function so i can convert full seasons of shows at once and it seems to be erroring on almost every file. strange...

actually its an older player, by Chinese standards its a relic, older chip, newer ones would not need converting (in theory) or at least have vastly better video support and o restrictionn like tat of this player

its a big seller from china made by everyone and their mums

i'm curious, how old do you think this player actually is? and the chip? i'm thinking maybe the chip is a couple years old and the player a year old?
i heard that many of the newer players with newer chips are very glitchy as of yet and generally unreliable. they do boast better video support as you say though.
do you know the name of a good newer player from china that might be available on ebay?
it would be nice to just drop unconverted files in or have better features than this player. although i did pretty much buy it as a cheap player that is lightweight that i don't really care about damaging or losing too much (this is in comparison to my very large heavy and much more expensive creative zen V W). it is also rather low on memory, only 16gb, so in a way i don't really want the files to be very big anyway. i will prob use it mostly for music, but it is nice to know i could throw some vidz on it.

maybe you know of a newer player that has ipod-like features such as wifi connectivity? i would really like one that is able to update it's firmware and allow new applications or features to be installed on it. maybe this is too much to ask from a cheap player from china that is not supported by a big company like apple, but i really like the idea of a player that can be altered and have features added to it.
maybe you know of a player that can run rockbox?

i find that it is difficult to pierce the whole chinese electronics market. it is so hard to know what chip is in what device and whether or not the thing will work well before you try it. especially when you are dealing with this generic stuff.

Ebay rip you off on delivery, and there are a lot of dodgy sellers.
Why not buy from somewhere like http://www.tinydeal.com/index.php?ma...dex&cPath=1_93
or http://www.mp4nation.net/catalog/

Better prices than Ebay too.

The conversion free Rockchip 27xx series are good, you'll find most, but not all video's will play ok including Youtubes

i never find cheaper prices than on ebay. the player i got a month ago was free shipping from hong kong and was averaging 40-60 bucks canadian auctioned. i managed to get mine for about 45. i looked elsewhere and could not find the same player for anywhere close to that price with shipping included. maybe i don't know the good companies or something, but somehow i doubt i could have gotten it much cheaper. i also ordered headphones from the same ebay seller later on for 1.50 CDN and the shipping was free. that is insane cheap, 1.50 for headphones from hong kong. they are crap headphones of course, but pretty good for the price.
you are right, some sellers on ebay are sketchy, you have to try and suss out the good ones.
i actually ordered another one of those players for someone else and it took over 3 weeks and still didnt arrive so i told them about it and they immediately offered to refind my money or send another one. i told them to send anothe and low and behold the first one arrived a few days later. i told them about it and they said they already sent another one and ddin't care. basically they gave me a free one just to please me. this was from a seller on ebay who could barely speak english and selling generic players like this. some of these ebay sellers are better than known companies.

question: how do i know which players contain rockchip 27xx series chips? also i head a few companies are competing with rockchip now and may have better chips. know anything about this?
