Ok I am a noob and need help

I am on my second MP4 player the first was DOA and had to go through paypal to get a refund dead beat seller. So what did I do I bought a higher priced model from a local seller on Ebay and what did I get???

This player powers up plays the demos on the unit sound is great Radio works well too. but when I plug it into my PC to upload I have a problem, it recognizes the unit instals the rock chip drivers even sees the removable disk port. Here comes the bad part it will not copy files I get an error saying the path can not be found, when I look at the properties in my computer it shows no files and it shows 0 memory used and 0 memory available. I does show up in control panel Device manager and seems to be running OK now yellow flags atleast.
Now I am using and Pentium 4 with Windows XP home and my Duo core Windows XP Laptop and the same on both. Have I done something wrong or did I just get another more expensive paper weight?? any help would be appreciated.
I hooked to the USB ports on the back of the computers not sure but I believe both run 2.0 ports only.
I do see Files on the screen of the player but are not viewable on the PC's. Also I tried a cable for my Camera which had the same connections No Dice nothing.

more info on the unit

Prod name RK27SDK

Major version ID 1.1

Hardware ID 120124

local memory 0.034G (used)

3.878G (total)

I can not read anything on the disk with either the PC or Laptop

What I suggest is to try a different USB cable firstly. It has happened in the past where the cheap USB cables are faulty or have faulty pins so the computer doesn't recognise it properly.

What you can also try to do is FORMAT your player through Windows to see if that helps fix the problem.

Let us know.

Ok I went to my local Radio Shack and purchased a new cable and it now works with one shocking problem the unit has a virus on it fortunately My Anti virus is up todate and blocked it but I did some research and it is one nasty piece of work. So besides a problem getting these things to run look out when you do here is a link to the site I used to figure out just what it was

Someone else may need them for help

Thank you for the advice if you have any idea on how to wipe the virus off the rock chip I am open to suggestion but as is now I can upload to the device just not download from it.

Thanks Again

Good morning to everybody.
I'm a newbie of this forum, just registered, and I'd ask Bosstang for a copy of his firmware. On the basis of quoted system info, I should have the same player, and I've messed up with my firmware. :(
Many, many thanks to anyone will be able to help me.

No, the mine is without touchscreen.
I attach a picture.
To make visible the hidden partition, I have to add FRK.TAG
Thank you for the swift answer.

No , but I've tried also this firmware, and it doesn't work.
I've tried to attach a picture, but I've discovered I don't have permission for that.
Regards.
