Can't get Tetris game to play
 

I bought this piece of crap on amazon.com - New 8GB 2.8" screen Touch Screen MP5 MP4 Mp3 GAME + support mini SD card to extend+ MIC and FM recording function.

By reading stuff on this site I did figure out the chip which is RK260X and I figured out what kind of games it plays because it didn't come with any and the seller didn't know anything either. I downloaded a whole bunch of rkp games but only one of them works. Pirates of the Carribbean. All I wanted was to be able to play Tetris but it will not play.

The icon shows up but the game won't play. I noticed that instead of an icon for pirates there's a picture but not one for Tetris. Can anyone tell me why this one game won't play for me?

I have the same 8GB 2.8'' Touchscreen mp4 player as you.

Mine has the tetris game that came on it but its always paused for me. Did yours come with a game directory in it? Im trying to figure out myself on why my game is not working and how i can get the other's working as well...Other than that though for me this player is great... Hope you find your answer.

rkp games wont work im afraid, if when you select the game it goes right to tetris and not to a game selection menu then you can not play extra games - sorry

No actually it didn't come with any folders on it at all. I would love to be able to play tetris. I had to make a game folder and like I said it will play Pirates but nothing else. makd511, is there anyway I can get the tetris game from his player for mine? And I keep seeing all this information about backing up the firmware but I don't even have the folders that are listed on this site. The appdata, the resource, etc. don't even exist. Is there some way I can get the firmware from someone else's player to put on mine? This player would be okay if it had actually come with tetris but it didn't come with anything.

Push the power switch to ON/OFF position for one second to START. Same to PAUSE. (+/-) to move left or right and "M" to rotate.
