Default Should I format my Mp4?

I just got a new Mp4 (2.8" 16gb touch screen)
when i plug it into the computer and click on the Removable Disk it says i have to FORMAT the disk.
Should I format it?
Also when I try to format it, it says that it has 7.7GB when I bought a 16GB mp4

Hi jumpyroo92,

That sounds like a hacked player. This is where the player has been 'hacked' to show more memory than it has installed physically.

I would recommend you FORMAT your player. Plus if you have no alternative but to FORMAT then I would do it.

Have a look at this post here --> How To: Removing Memory Hack.
