I cannot for the life of me extract my firmware

Hi, I bought a Generic MP4 player off Ebay. This one to be exact.

Ok, so I have some issues with it. First, I can't change the wallpaper of my music folder. It has some crappy ladybug one that looks pretty fruity. In the screenshot you can clearly see the green background of the music folder which I cannot change. I can change the background of the main menu and record screen but that's it. I'm trying to modify it with maybe some new wallpapers and buttons.

First though, I have been trying to access the hidden partition forever. I have tried using all the different file names for "rkusb.tag" including FRK.TAG, teclast.sys and wisky.sys. Whatever I use, and I disconnect, turn off and reset the player, it just does not want to work.

I checked the System info and it says this:

Major Version ID:2.2
Hardware ID: 080722

I'm running Windows XP SP3.

So what do you guys think? Is there any hope in this? I just don't know what to do.

Open it up and take a look inside, it might be an RK26xx.

I opened it up and found some info.

One part said "Samsung 109"

The middle part said "Rockchip RK2706"

The other part said "Samsung 846"

No idea what that all means. Hope this helps.
