Mp3 player working funny. Should I do a firmware upgrade?
Hi All. I just joined and I'm hoping I can get a little help.
Last year I bought 2 units of a 3rd gen Nano clone. They were supposed to be 4 GB each but as it turns out one of them is actually 2GB. Well the 2 GB worked (and still does) but has two lines going across the LCD vertically. The other unit will not play any songs. There is a message which says format error! but they are in MP3 format. I thought that maybe I should do a firmware upgrade, but this finding the correct firmware seems to be pretty difficult. I even have a CD that came with the units and has a firmware file on it, but when I try using that it tells me that the Firmware's protocol is different from the one on the firmware. This is what I see when I go to the firmware version:BO-25002 AK1025_LKD_V32 2007-11-10 9.1.52 2005-01-09 Anyone know what to do with this unit? Any suggestions or FW files for this unit you can recommend? Thanks in advance |

LCD lines is hardware issue. The ITO bonding is defective. This cannot be fixed without replacing LCM.
The second one, format the drive. |
so what do you do when you wipe the whole thing out
i mean really dead mine only work as a jumpdrive it don't even lite up no more first it would only play one song over and over when there was about 2000 songs on it then i plug it in and replaced the music on it when i plugged it from my pc the screen turned red then black |
