chinese ipod nano clone shows white blank screen ?hlp

I've recently bought a new chinese IPOD NANO MP4 PLAYER but unfortunately i dropped it on the floor.Now it displays a white blank screen.Nothing else is workin...I want to reinstall the firmware again.But i have not made the backup of it...How can i extract the firmware n how can i reinstall it agn...If u know the similar type of firmware then plz tel me (Chinese IPOD NANO)?Tel me the tools and its link where can i get in the web or forum....plz some1 help me quick...desperately waitin 4 ur response.

I've done successful dead player couple of times in my frends mp4.But now its failing.I'd dropped the 3rd generation chinese IPOD NANO clone MP4 player.I took it to the hardware repairer but they say its (firmware) problem.I even opened it but suprisingly none of the parts have been damaged,destroyed or broken.

I touch the processer with tweezer as told,but it blinked and got turned off.But unfortunately,it wasn't detected by the computer as ADFU device...It was not detected at all.It still shows white blank background screen with half black background colorful horizontal strips...I afraid there's some problem with display.But nothing as broken....I'm so helpless at this moment...I desperately want help from some1 experienced ppl.What sud i do???

It is not so easy... 1. - If you have it in warrancy -> GIVE IT BACK TO SELLER

BUT SKIP THE PART WITH UPLOADING FULL FIRMWARE !

Are you sure that none parts of your player are damaged? :roll:
If you haven't done anything with your firmware,
then it must be hardware problem.
Maybe it's small and not serious, and you have the possibility to repair it...
Check your hardware for damages again. :roll:

I agree. I think from the drop, it might have damaged the hardware within your player. Physically it made not like damaged but internally, perhaps the chip is damaged. This then means, it's pretty much almost dead. Either that or the screen is damaged from the drop.

If player can still be controlled and working to play music, only LCM broken.

Otherwise it may be small crack in PCB.

Yeah, if not...

I recomend to try other USB port, USB cable and connecting the pins more ways (not for long !!!) also u can try to carefully push the flash.

Are you shure you are co nnecting pins as it is written in dead recovery ?

Also -> Is your player charged ? Can do bad stuff as well...

Check the hardware again and lets hope ..

Firstly I want to thank sincerely 2 u all 4 showin interest in my problem n tryin to help me solve the problem.
Groovy, wat do u mean by this (connecting the pins more ways (not for long !!!) also u can try to carefully push the flash. )) if u could plz explain me in more detail???...

By lookin at all these comments i feel that my IPOD Nano clone MP4 cannot be repaired through dead player recovery as usual...Looking at ur comments I feel personally that if it cannot be detected through dead player recovery then nothin can n done abt it.It's Dead forever...None of the parts are broken.But still it's not detected by the computer when i touch it at 2 points with the tweezer as described.I'm really embrassed and depressed about it becoz it bought it fews weeks back...I'm responsible for it n it can't be exchanged agn.I still hope that u intellegent ppl out there can come up with some brilliant ideas to solve the problem....I pray I 'll somday repair it successfully...Thankyou very much...

Hello again,
Have you triend other USB port/PC ? Or other Cable if u have some? as i recommended? Push the flash means push the flash... Take your finger and gently press/push the flash drive -> The thing u should be shorting the pins on -> black rectangle thing.

Also ARE YOU REALLY SHORTING THE FLASH MEMORY? It is character H on the picture below.

When shorting the chips you have to short them a specific way. Sometimes it is not easy and takes a while... The flash memory has two sides and sometimes it works only at one side and sometimes u have to do both... Anyways here is a picture showing what exact pins are needed to short. Look and try ! Dont forget taht u have to be connected to USB with your mp4 and turned ON.

Yes I tried with different usb cable n usb port...And I did wat u told...But still its not happening...I've done couple of successful dead player recovery in the past.But this time it's not workin at all...

The moment I dropped it,I turned it on n it displayed white screen.I then connected it to the computer.It was detected and f: drive was detected..Then I gave it for repairing but it was unsuccessful as they called it firmware problem...Then I did dead player recovery but unfortunately it wasn't succes and it was not detected by the computer as I had already shorted the memory.....I understand that if is detected by the computer it can be repaired successfully...

It shows that after dropping the IPOD nano MP4 it was still workin and i could listen songs in white blank screen...This means that the display might have only been destroyed but not the entire mp4..But now nth is working...Only white screen appears...I'll even snd u the photos after few days...What sud I do..There's still so much hope....help me some1..
