MP4 player's LCD screen does not work

My PMP MP4 DC DV china make player's LCD screen does not work. The device switches on okay but no LCD display. The charging is okay and when I connect to a computer, it is detected. The only button which works is the reset button and it swithches off. No other buttons are working and I cannot switch it off using power button. Please help.

Open it up, post board ID and CPU...

Even though this is likely not a firmware but a hardware problem, knowing what that hardware is will make it easier to determine the problem.
