Adding .pdf to eBook

Hi,
My mp4 player has an eBook function and i have an eBook downloaded on my computer only the eBook is in the .pdf format and my player doesnt support this and i believe the only supported format is .txt so can anyone help me convert this to the proper file format or convert this to .jpg images or something?

open PDF file, then on file menu do "save as text" - done, if you do not hve this option in acrobat reader then you may need to update

Thanks makd511 but i have already tried doing this and for some reason the eBook does not show up as anything but blank pages on my player.
