Re: Looking for firmware AK1025 GOLZI G-18A_MAIN_VO.6

Search this board, many others here have a Golzi G-18A v0.6 that they could give you the firmware for.

The v0.6 on s1fw.com seems to have disappeared.

I see maybe that is why i can't seem to find any firmware for my player.I have 1 more question.Do i need to find a firmware with the exact LCD Screen number that corresponds with my player?Or is it plainly Golzi G-18A v0.6,regardless of the LCD number?

Thanks.

Re: Looking for firmware AK1025 GOLZI G-18A_MAIN_VO.6

Golzi G-18A v0.6 is the board number, which indicates the connectivity of the LCM (i.e. which pins are connected to which I/O of the CPU). Connectivity of all devices with the same board number should be identical.

However, G-18A might use different displays with different controllers. If you're lucky it'll use one that's compatible with one of the big three command sets, or maybe one of the other lesser-known but still popular ones.

Try this one and see what sort of results you get:

http://rapidshare.com/files/20824778..._1221_IPOD.zip

- Hourglass = correct display controller, if it stays on hourglass then it's having problems loading the BREC from the flash.
- Backlight on, nothing else = correct display connectivity, wrong controller type
- U Disk = main core FW is compatible

Wow that is a lot info. Thanks Lolita.Maybe i was never that good in electronics symbols and program languages that i do not understand the process well.
Anyway, i tried the file you said, but unfortunately, no luck for me.It is all black not even the backlight is on.Nothing but it is in ADFU Device when connected to computer.
Is there no way i can recover the original firmware?I have the cd but i cannot find the firmware.Im getting hopeless.Where can i found any other firmware?

Re: Looking for firmware AK1025 GOLZI G-18A_MAIN_VO.6

Someone else on this board has a Golzi with the exact same model number and display. Ask them to extract the firmware from theirs with s1res v4.0 and send it to you.

vhone601 17th Mar 2009 11:14 pm

ok..i will look for that someone with the same player as mine. But i will ask for your favor regarding s1res when i found one?
I will let you know if i found any.
Thanks again
