Default Plug-In Car MP4 Player with LCD Display


hi from spain i buy a mp4 player with FM transmitter for my car, there is a example http://www.chinavasion.com/product_i...ay-4gb-memory/

and i want upgrade the firmware but i dont found for it
somebody can help me?

Looking at the screenshot, it looks like an ACTIONS chipset MP4 player.

I would highly recommend you NOT update the firmware on your player. By using an incompatible firmware on your player, you could render your player 'dead'. All you have to do is look at the "Dead Players" section of this forum to see what I mean. Personally I don't think it's worth the risk.....

Hello and thanks for the answer, i want get the firmware for other device with firmaware higher than i have and put in my player with firmware lower but not found software that read the fw from my device

Use s1res v4.0 to extract the firmware and keep a backup of it.

Hello!
I downloaded s1res and i cant extract nothing because not detect my mp3,
the program scan in unit A: (Diskett) but not in h: (my device) and not found it.
viewing the url that wrote above what can i do?
I want get a new firware in a device (same model) and put in other devide same model too.

Check that your player shows up in Device Manager and find its VID and PID.

It may not be Actions player. If it is based on Actions, it will have a VID of 10D6.

hello checking in device manager f found a usb device "My Audio" and description : USBSTOR\DISK&VEN_GENERIC&PROD_AUDIO___PRODUCT&REV_ V2.0\012345678905&0

VID and PID i dont know whats mean.

Look in the registry under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\U SB for any Vid_10d6&... entries.

HI, in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ i have two CurrentControlSet:
CurrentControlSet001 and CurrentControlSet002
in \enum i have many keys with usb devices and with vid entries have for example Vid_10d6&pid_1101 and in harware_id:USB\Vid_10d6&Pid_1100&Rev_0100
USB\Vid_10d6&Pid_1100
is this that we found?
