Files on player not appearing when browsing on device.
 

Hi there. I hope I'm asking this in the right place. I've searched for rename, files, etc.

I have this 16GB rk27sdk device, 1.2, 080422...

mp3 files are fine, but when I copy avi and jpg files on they do not show up, either when go through Video or Photo options, or the Explorer option.

The workaround is to rename the files - either just to a different name, or rename and then rename back to the original name. Then I can file and view them.

Other files (unrenamed at all) are available indirectly - ie: view one of the renamed ones, then click the arrows to navigate to the subsequent ones and they show up.

Have anyone seen this problem? Any ideas?

BTW, same problem with .txt files using the ebook functionality. So I use a python script which goes through and renames to a tempory name, and back again, every file on the device, or a directory. When I add things to the device I run the script.
