Default New MP5 player - time won't change

Bought am 8gb mp5 player off ebay(nervously) recently. Memory seems to be as it should be - have copied in about 6 gb assorted music and video and played it back, so memory seems genuine.
What appears to be the time display reads 02:27 and if I go into time settings and change it (from 00:00), it still reads 02:27 when I come out.
Have contacted the seller but no response...
Anyone with similar problems ?
It's an unbranded player - Windows XP detects it as a Rockchip usbdisk - don't know how to find anything more specific.

Hi robin2204,

Sorry, I haven't heard of this problem before. To be honest, I don't use the time feature on my Rockchip player at all. I'll check it on my player and see if it has the same problem as what you have. Hopefully someone else can come up with some suggestions......

What about trying to FORMAT your player firstly then try the clock settings again to see if that helps?

The phone feature? Rockchip players have GSM now?

Sorry, that was a typo mistake, it should be "time" instead. I have corrected it now.
