Help with new 2.8 TFT mp4 player
 

Hi,

I bought a player the other day off the street. I know, I know, not so smart. Okay, it has PMP stamped on the back.

I like the player. The touchscreen is pretty responsive and it has a nice interface. The problem is my laptop doesn't recognize it when I plug it in. I have Windows vista home premium. Nothing happens at all when i plug it in. I swapped out the usb cord. I tried using a different port with no result. I have another laptop with WinXP Pro and I tried plugging it up there. That at least did something. It's popping up as "unknown device." Don't know what to do from there. Also, the player seems to freeze when plugged up to the PC. The screen stays on the home screen and you can't press any buttons or anything. At first the battery looks like its charging and then it just stops moving after about 2-3 minutes. Then the player starts getting really warm.

I'd really like to use this player, but can't see how if my computer won't even recognize it. Anyone have any ideas?
