Please help me to identify my player

Hi,

four weeks ago i have bought a MP4 FM-Transmitter. All works fine and i was very happy. But since two days i can not use it, because i get always a message "NAND Flash No Files!" :-( I have formatted the flash, try to copy my mp3 files in different folders, but it not helps.
My idea was now, to reflash the device but i donīt know which firmware should i use. Can anybody help me?

Re: Please help me to identify my player

You say since 2 days ago you can't keep files on it. Is that only after you disconnect it from the computer? When you connect it to the computer and copy files to it, do the files remain on the drive as long as it's connected and only disappear when you try to play them? It could be that the flash chip has failed. Also, does this player have a micro SD slot? is it possible you are copying your files to the wrong drive. If there's a micro SD card in the player, it will show up as a separate drive. If you've added any flash drives recently, you may be copying your files to that as well. Easiest way to tell, open up My Computer (if you're running windows) before you plug in your player and see which drives are added when you plug it in. If more than one drive shows up, trying moving sound files into both folders. One last tidbit. What kind of files are you moving to it? is it possible your putting files into the player that it doesn't recognize?

Hi koala121,
thanks for your answer. Yes, problem occurs after i copied some MP3 files to the device. All files and folder was remain and are not damaged. If i disconnect and connect again, i can see and launch the files.
Error occurs only with mp3 files. If i open Video or Image Viewer, i can see my complete Flash Drive and can open images and videos. At that reason i not believe that flash is damaged.
I have a SD Card slot, but i can not use because device resets after input the card and can not be start. Itīs always black.

How i can update or reflash the firmware? any idea?

Try extracting firmware with s1res to keep a backup first.

Not possible. Try for few times, but s1res not found my device. I tried with both methods. Where is the error?

Are the mp3 files you're transferring the same you've played before? Check the bit rate, it's possible your player has a problem with the mp3 format. Some players I've seen can only play mp3 files up to a specific bit rate. Check with an mp3 file you know has worked in the past. Also, you say you have tried different folders, have you tried copying an mp3 to the root directory? And last, does your player have an explorer function to see all files on the flash drive directly from the player without connecting to the computer? If it does, can you see the mp3 files?

Yes, are the same files. I tried with different bit rates (96,128,192 Kb/s), but same problem. I have another device (itīs little differents as my) and there was same stored mp3 files like i had it on my device from beginning/manufacturing. And with these mp3 files same error occurs.
Yes, i have tried to copy some files in folders and to the root folder. Also error occurs.
I have explorer function but only for Videos and Pictures. All videos and pictures can be show. Also, itīs possible to browse in different foldes but itīs only shows pcitures or videos. So itīs not possible to browse in the MP3-Mode.

Re: Please help me to identify my player

yes, you have to open the device and read them off the various areas of the player.

Should be able to get VID and PID using Device Manager.

Not a very common chip at all. They're not even officially registered with USB so you can't find their VID on the official site.

Here you can get the tools to work with the device, and firmware (which will likely NOT work since you have a different display/hardware layout).

Here is another user who might have the same model:
