Do you need some tools to open the mpx player? Or is it like a cellfone, kind of a click system?

If you have time, take some photos and post them to share with everyone. If you're going to open your player, you should make the most of it and share it with everyone else :). |
Will do but I guess they will be the same pictures as posted in this thread since it is the same player :) However, before opening it i will probably try and test the memory by putting stuf onto it. If it is idd only 4gb I will open it to send prove to the seller that it is a 4gb chip. :)

I would say do it as soon as possible so if it's hacked, you can go around getting a refund or partial refund for it.

Of course I wont wait too long, however I will only get it tomorrow and tomorrow my girlfriend comes back after a week of absence so my priority will not be opening the mpx player :)

There's only 4 small screws, 2 on each side. No hidden ones.
Just as an indication: I paid 19GBP for it and got 7GBP refunded. So you know how much you can ask for. I don't know if anyone else has this issue also but my settings will reset after turning the player off and on again. So when I set the backlight option to "Off" it will be back on the default 10s when I turn it back on. Can anyone confirm? Oh and I'd appreciate any suggestions for updating the player to it's true size. |
I'd like to see what controller this player is using. Seems to be a Series-11 Actions, but maybe there are some using Rockchip as well... all I can say is that it's one of the more powerful ones since it needs external SRAM.

Can you identify the controller on my pictures? I'll make a closeup if you need me to.
If it's the one with the white stuff on it, I peeled it off and there's no printing on it. |
