Actions AK1025 controller, 4Gbyte SAMSUNG NAND flash.

s1res v4.1 should work in extracting the firmware from it, if it doesn't work what error are you getting?

Please post screenshots of the appropriate error messages and detail the process you attempted.

Run s1giveio v1.4 (download here: RapidShare: Easy Filehosting)

Then run the following commands and post the log of the resulting transcript.
Code:
o 2 8
o 28 6
o 2a ff
o 2a 70
d 8000 1
o 2a 90
o 0 22
d 8000 4
q
It should look something like this, though the returned values may be slightly different:
Code:
s1giveio v1.4 - some small debug console to access the players hardware
copyright (c)2008 wiRe <wiRe@gmx.net> - http://www.s1mp3.de/ - FREEWARE

give access to the device...
open device: \\.\H:
giveio version: 3.1
v9-device detected
use command '?' for help!

-o 2 8

-o 28 6

-o 2a ff

-o 2a 70

-d 8000 1
8000 C0 └

-o 2a 90

-o 0 22

-d 8000 4
8000 EC D5 55 25 ∞╒U%

-q
What we are especially interested in are the last 4 values (EC D5 55 25) since they are the ID of the flash chip. The problem you are experiencing may be because s1res v4.1 doesn't recognize the ID of your flash.
