Hi!
It would be great if anyone can help me with this report that I got from h2testW:
The media is likely to be defective.
3.8 GByte OK (7998964 sectors)
262 KByte DATA LOST (524 sectors)
Details:0 KByte overwritten (0 sectors)
0 KByte slightly changed (< 8 bit/sector, 0 sectors)
262 KByte corrupted (524 sectors)
0 KByte aliased memory (0 sectors)
First error at offset: 0x0000000061bfd800
Expected: 0x0000000061bfd800
Found: 0x0000ffff2080ffff
H2testw version 1.3
Writing speed: 1.02 MByte/s
Reading speed: 4.75 MByte/s
H2testw v1.4
What can I do about those 262 Kbytes so they don't corrupt my mp3s when I put them - can't I put a restricition on the writing on this defective sector of memory?
P.S. By the way, I formatted the device before doing the check.
