Player still 1GB instead of 4GB
 

i unplugged and formatted the player but it is still 1gb instead of 4gb.
Does any one know what the problem is with Chinese file system cos the Ghanaian is filled with Chinese products that really fake
there seem to be a problem with every pen drive or i pod you buy.

You buy a device that is 1gb when you come home you realize it is 512mb.I ALSO HAVE A PEN DRIVE WHICH USED TO BE 4GB but has now reduced to 2GB,what is th problem with i have tried so many to recover it back to its size but nothing seem to work out.IS THERE A PROBLEM WITH CHINESE FILE SYSTEM OR THEY JUST LIKE TO PRODUCE FAKE GOODS.........?

If you've formatted your player and it is now 1GB, then chances are that your player only has a 1GB memory chip installed inside the player. :( The best way to check is to open the player and post details of the memory chip. Then we can search on the chipset numbers to find what size memory chip it is.

The hacked players are purposely hacked to show 4GB to fool you and the computer into believing it's 4GB. However, if you format it you can remove the hack and show it's true memory size. In your case, this is what seems to have happened. But to confirm, just open your player and post the memory chip numbers.
