[solved] My Onda VX777 has reverted to Chinese!

Help.
Not having used my Onda for a while I think I pressed reset in error, so now it is all in Chinese. How do I get back to English please?

The firwmare is 1.42. Has it been updated since?
Thanks.

Hi bertie,

Sorry, I don't own an Onda player so I can't help directly.
However, my wife can read Chinese. So, if you can post some images of your player's menu, I'll try to translate it for you and tell you what they mean.

Thank you Binh, for the kind offer. I did manage to work it out by trial and error until I got the option to show English again!
And thanks for the download site link, much appreciated.

Thanks bertie,

Can you tell us all how you do it?
What the clicks where to get the language back to English? I noticed another user also has the same problem with their player, so if you can share with us how to do it, it will help others in the future.

Sure. From the desktop display, go to the bottom icon on the right hand side of the screen, like a gear wheel. That is System set. Tap on that and this gives a list of options. The very bottom line is Language, so tap on that. That gives all the various language choices. Now, what I had done was to somehow select chinese so _all_ those language options were chinese! What I discovered after trying different things was that the bottom line after tapping System set was 'Language' (I had forgotten). So, if the screen is all in chinese, tap the bottom line, this will bring up various languages and English is the third one down from the top, as you will see.
That was it. It is a bit worrying to see everything in chinese though!
HTH.
