PLEASE HELP!! SUNPLUS 3052A USB drivers needed!
 

Hey,

I have a SunPlus 3052A mp4 (see attached image--mp4.jpg) and I need to update the firmware. When I plug in the mp4 holding the OK button, it doesn't go to the "Transfer Mode" (USB logo is NOT displayed) but Windows calls it a "USB Device" and asks for drivers. I tried all the drivers I could download but none of them work for me!

Please upload/post a link to the usb drivers. I already have downloaded the latest firmware.

Did your player come with a CD? If so, check that to see if you can find anything.

Other thing is, have you tried a different USB cable instead? I've heard of problems with a faulty USB cable where one of the pins are faulty so your computer doesn't detect the device correctly because of that. Try another USB cable if you can.

I've got some Sunplus drivers, but they are really old so I'm not sure if it will work. I'll upload some and post it here.

The PMP did come with a CD, but that CD only has the Win98 USB Drivers, transcoding tools and some firmware upgrading tools. It didn't come with the drivers I need.

The cable works well. I use it for transferring files to the MP4 and I also use it for my Motorola cell phone.
