"the encrypted disc, the tool does not support it to format"

So i've come to terms with the fact that I have a 2/gb unit, and not 8/gb as advertised. it is an actions 2025 4th gen nano clone. I'm trying to remove the memory hack, but every version of disc tool i try will not recognise the player. it is connected, but when i try to format using disc tool it says " the encrypted disc, the tool does not support it to format" (such elequant chingrish!) I have formatted it in vista, which will only format it to fat32 or ntfs. so i settled with fat32. maybe the player has to be formatted in fat (fat16) before disc tool will recognise it? so how the hell do i manage that when my OS is vista?

Humm, if it's an Actions chipset player, your player should be able to be detected by the Disk Tool. Have you tried the latest version here: Download Tool: MP3 Player Utilities 10.0 - MyMPx?

it is definately an actions chipset, and I have tried all available versions of the disc tool. Also the cd that came with the player is corrupt so I can't try that either! the player works ok, I just have to ensure i don't put any more than 2 gb of files on it otherwise it goes a bit doolally!
