G: drive appears but there is nothing in it
I purchased a touch screen MP4 player a year or so ago and had no trouble with it, but after sitting a few months I got it back out and my computer will no longer recognize it. When I plug it in the G:/ drive appears but there is nothing in it and I cannot access any of the info in the player. It will still play what is in there just fine but unfortunately what is on there is an audio book I have already finished... I have tried to do a reformat through windows as well as using the utility I downloaded here. Neither one will work, acting as if the drive does not exist. I have also searched the forums looking for anything specific to my player and I will admit probably due to my inexperience I found nothing that has helped. Thank you all for your patience. I have a picture of the inside.
http://i305.photobucket.com/albums/n...o/PICT0319.jpg The large Samsung chip under the sd slot says Samsung 819 K94CG08U1M PCBO DG07X3 The other larger one says Samsung 346 K4S1616220- TC80 K009QYU KOREA The smaller one says mtekvision MV339SOK 0544 5240350 What I take to be a processor has a holographic sticker simply with XLD on it, there are two other tiny chips I cannot read because I do not have a microscope... lol... I also tried to do a reset through the devices menue and nothing, if I have to mess with the firmware I hope the info I have given will help in figuring out which I need. Thank you all! |
mine was like that when I got it. I ran chkdsk (included with windows)and it fixed it
