PortableApps on a chinese MP3 player?

I recently installed PortableApps on my Buntz (Wilson) MP3 player, but the AutoRun function doesn't seem to work. I'll try on Tuesday if it works on a PC from school, but until then, does anyone know if its because of the player?

Also, for a few years I haven't been able to plug in my player to the PC without a battery inside, cos it gives me the "The device has malfunctioned" message and i have to insert a battery to access the drive. does anyone have any idea why?

thanks.

Hi Metalboy,

Autorun feature can be disabled in Windows and it would be a Windows feature to have auto run working. It's actually very DANGEROUS to have the autorun feature turned on in Windows as well. I've bought a MP4, 2.8" touch screen player and it the autorun.inf on the player was going to execute a virus! Luckily I had my autorun turned off and checked the drive when I plugged it into my computer.

Hope that helps.

I know, I almost infected my PC with Conficker after getting it from a PC at school . but i noticed today that (at least at school) when i connect the player Windows pops up a window with choices, one of them being Start PortableApps.com

OK thanks. but what about that other thing, with the battery? its a bit annoying.
