Hi All!

Thank You, After too many hours, searching info for mp4.

I Did resolved my driver issues from your instructions for
USB 2.0 (FS) ADFU Device Driver All great.

WindowsXP, Now Says: Device is set-up and ready to use..
Only I still get that durn hour glass and nothing else.

Does anyone know if
I do need to re install firmware to get basic screen or menu.?

firmware Wilson Co. Ltd S! MP3
BKSD01NB22_30
9.1.52 original date 01-09-2005
upgrade date on player 08-15-07

Your instructions to upgrade firmware,I understood easily, odd for me.

Very Well explained, not sure what firmware comparable to above? Or if I need?

Enough questions...... I will keep reading
I have learned a bunch here today.

I had to ask...Thanks everyone for your help and posts,
I would never make it on Twitter for sure .

you can open your set. if you got soldering skill, you can solder the LCD connection, if it doesn't work, then you can try solder the flash memory. if both don't work, try to search for firmware by:
1. Controller model: AKxx
2. board ID:BKSD01NB22_30
3. LCD ID
4. firmware version: 9.1.52

Default Response to interuptor0

Hi interuptor0, great user name for a forum..

Thanks for such a quick response,
I don't think it is soldering issue Of course what do I know.

I have searched all day for compatible firmware or the same>
No luck, all kinds of posts in reference to but no answers>

Would rather try your suggestions in reverse if I could find
the firmware.

If it is lcd problem only,
Should I be able to sync music and read data from pc to see if all working other than. ?
Or is there no such thing, with this great mp4.....lol...

I thought if I found and installed right firmware it would reset>or no?

Somewhat Familiar with soldering basic, info.

Learned basic info way too many years ago 1day 8 hr class,
In plastics we soldered a few wires to make terminal blocks?
durrrrrr. forget that one.
Have No iron or anything now, probably would mess it up.
20.00 cost for mp4, my friend paid for it. New. it did work.lol

I'm the worst on patience.

Some great programmer needs to invent a restore reset program for these models.
They for sure would be famous and big bucks. $...

GGG if I were only that smart.

UPDATE Resolved : Thanks for all of the great information here.
I decided to give mp3/mp4 player back to friend No luck patience to try to repair futher
solder etc. If I had many or if mine I would probably take the time to complete.

Recommend anyone buyer a generic mp3/mp4 player TO: PURCHASE from someone here on site forum that
knows the product they are selling.
Or purchase a brand name the little savings it not worth hours trying to correct.

Super great information here for any repairs and all mp3/mp4 players are explained perfect. Great tutorials.

Thanks for trying to help.
Respectfully,
leanback

cyberkor,

Please create a new post for your problem as it is different from the original post. It's best to keep it seperated.
