Mp3 Boston player - no support for Random Play?

Hello, i´m new in this forum, and have a this problem:

I buy in RadioShack a Mp3 "Boston" of 2 gb, but this not support a Random Play.

I search in all options, but not find the random option.

Is possible "hack" the firm to add this function??

In the system menu at the option "Firmware Version" says: LD2088-STD-1.1.

Sorry for the bad english

Psd: The player look like this: http://www.vertigomp3.com/cart/index...products_id=41

Try this:
1. During music playback, press the "menu" button on your player
2. You should see an "repeat" option there
3. Press "menu" again and it should bring you into another menu
4. There, you should see "Random" if all goes well.

That's what I have to do on my player but it all depends on the chipset of your player. If you still don't have success, let us know and if you can, post some images of the menu options you haev when you press the "menu" button while playing a song.

Not is possible activate this, in the menu only say this:

equalizer =>pop/rock.....

replay=> (does noting)
exit

The chipset i unknow, but when i conect to pc is recognized as "Generic Audio Product USB Device".

Thanks for the response
