Help me finding my mp4 brand/name and upgrade it
 

I've recently bought a 32GB mp4 player from ebay, exactly this one:
NEW 2.8" LCD Touch screen 32GB MP3 MP4 VIDE PLAYER fm on eBay.ca (item 160392045944 end time 21-Jan-10 13:11:27 EST)
but the system installed inside looks like thos one:
32GB DV 2.8" Touch Screen MP3 MP4 Player Camera FM Rec on eBay.ca (item 250570012417 end time 25-Feb-10 07:56:58 EST)

I want to update or change the firmware because I want to put about 30gb of songs inside it but after a few bands, all the folders start having the same mp3 names inside from the last different band that successfully copied (a band called architect has its songs copied in every band folders in my case). I've tried to copy/paste folder and use windows media player but I ended with the same result.

It's happen because your player have fake memory. It have not 32Go memory.

Probalbly 2Go, 1Go or 4Go if you are lucky. Try to copy 1Go and try.

You can use h2testw.exe for test the real memory of your player.

I think the player maybe meets any mistakes when it works. Please try to check the disk.

Don't do any firmware upgrade or any funny things with your player. If you do it might go dead and you will never recover it back. Most probably it has 2Gb memory ...you would be very lucky if you have more. Just try and format the drive on Windows (Fat 32) and use the real memory space for all your Mp3s and Mp4s. Try and backup all you can like firmware etc and keep it safe if something goes bad, that will help to fix it. REMENBER ...only few people have fixed their players back to normal after loading a WRONG firmware. For majority of them it has been "Bad Luck", mostly because of right firmware is not available.
Note: Practically there is no 32Gb chip available in that low price and size to fit a small unit like that, Ebay is the only place where this magic happens.
