remove memory hack >> another way??

hi, is there another way to remove the memory hack on these chipods?

I followed the guide but it didn't remove the hack, even though I've opened it up and seen that (instead of 8gb) I've got a 2gb memory

Did that work for you following the steps from that site?

The only thing I can see being a pain is if your chip doesn't get recognised and you'll have to open up your player and input the chip details. There has been incidences where the actual chip numbers on the memory chip has been forged as well! Example: An 1GB memory chip hacked to show 8GB of memory and the model numbers forged to match those of a real 8GB memory chip. So if you get a hacked player where the seller has also forged the numbers on the memory chip and the application doesn't recognise the chip, if you go and input the forged model numbers when you open up your player, it will probably not fix/remove the hack.

the bloggyblog one's is kinda crappy > it doesn't recognise mine, and you can't 'type in' your serial either

>> turns out that the best thing to do was at the bottom of that page - I gparted it on linux to 2048mb,fat32 and checked the filesystem and now it's great
