Update firmware to get MP4 to sync with iTunes?

I just got an MP4 Player as an early Valentine's Day present and I'm trying to get the firmware updated so that I can get it to sync with ITunes.

I'm not sure on how to figure out which firmware I need to update to, seeing as I don't know how to determine the model that I have. I've found a picture of it on this website, but it's only identified as Designer 2.2" LCD MP3/AVI/MP4 Player with 300KP Camera - Black. If anyone know a way for me to identify what firmware I need without actually taking it apart, your input will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Clinton

Hi Clinton,

I would highly recommend *not* trying to update the firmware on your player. All you need to do is look at the [Dead Player] section of the forum to see why. You have a much higher chance of having a DEAD PLAYER by flashing it with an incompatible firmware than to try to get some extra features from another firmware.

So, another way is to try to help you with using the player instead of trying to update the firmware on it.
Firstly, treat the player like a USB memory stick. When you plug it in, it should appear as a removable drive in [My Computer] so all you need to do is just copy and paste files onto the player instead of using iTunes. As far as I know, iTunes seems to only be compatible with Apple products (iPods etc...) and not these type of MP4 players.

Hope that helps answer your question. If you have any other questions, please ask, we'll try to help as much as possible.
