Hi, I have spent two days looking all the posts about RK260bX chips, I downloaded and test 10000 of applications but I still cannot extract the firmware of my MP3 player.
Windows Vista seems to recognize the device when I put it in "upgrade mode". No drives are available but I see that the USB device is called something like RockUSB....I assume it is ok.
Now...how do I get a copy of the firmware?

At the moment it's impossible to extract the firmware from RK26xx
(but possible from RK27xx) because there're no any programs for this task.
Yes, there was one project, but it's half-completed and dead. Sorry

I found a working firmware for the Rockchip RK2608C here: » Firmware, Manual, MP4 Tool and AVI Converter Smart II

This zipped file contains a firmware file called "firmware.rfw". The included flash program is called "Product Tool No Dog 3.2.0.5" (Consumer.exe).
It revived my MP4 player after an unsuccessful update.
