Default Remove Memory Hack (HOW I DID IT)

This is how I did it.

Basically I use 'mydisktest' and the 'ChkFls' method.
Download Tools:
Fix Memory Hack.rar

1. Delete all the files in your player (backup them up)
2. Run mydisktest - Click 'Test the drive now!'
a. It will show how much memory you actually have on the player
b. There will be a popup at the end of the scan, Click Yes
C. It will then start 'reformatting' your player
d. Mine is "16gb"(Real Memory 4gb) so it took a few hours to finish
e. When It's done your player should show the actual memory remaining
when you click properties.
EXAMPLE: showed in the properties:
12gb Used Space
4gb Free Space

It should show this when your player has NO files in it

3. Now The player's fake memory and real memory is seperated.
4. To make the player show the actual memory only open 'ChkFls'

From User Skinski :
1. Download the program 'Chkfls' (

2. Run the program.

3. Check "As Physical Device"

4. Select the correct drive.

5. Check "Low Level Initialisation

6. Now go back up to the drive box and select the partition listing

the hacked memory number.

7. Click start.

8. On the new menu that pops up remove all the partitions listed.
a. if all of them are empty then just skip to step 9.

9. Click NEW on partition 1.

10. Slide the bar to whatever the correct memory size is (you need to

find this out before hand).
a. I did it a little lower than the actual size just in case.

11. Click ok.

12. Unplug device and replug when it asks.

13. Device should be showing the correct size now.

If you have any questions just ask me.

thanks a lot!! you fixed my (fake 16GB) player with this today..

Click the image to open in full size.

Click the image to open in full size.

I was aware of both programs,
but the english version of mydisktest was most welcome!

I ran that first, this showed me the fake mem (I already knew)
next step was to isolate all bad blocks, after this both the fake and real (4GB) memory showed up in properties

then I got rid of the fake part, with chkflsh, and made the real memory active
finally, the actual memory is displayed correctly in both windows & on the player..

Hey, that's the exact same player I got. I'm glad i helped someone.
Mine claimed 16gb also, but it was 4gb.
who did you buy it from? I bought it from "digitsonic" from ebay
I'm trying to get a partial refund. hopefully it goes well.

got mine from this guy: http://myworld.benl.ebay.be/kozzie-2007/
all his players are fake, because he lives close to me, I went down to his house and forced a full refund!

your guy: Feedbackprofiel voor digitsonic
seems to refund sometimes, most buyers don't seem to realize he sells fakes, or give FB too quickly

if you used paypal, you need to start a claim, and get your money back ASAP!!
don't go for partial refunds, it's a proven fake..

I'm quite pleased with the player, still a nice 4GB unit
maybe it could be a little more responsive (touchscreen)

I quickly replaced the original earplugs with creative EP-630 Earphones, these are 'in ear' plugs and sound way better
and also use a 4GB sd card for extra storage..

Yes, I used paypal.
so if i start a dispute from paypal for a full refund, do i have to send the player back??
Yep, i'm glad it's 4gb rather than a 1gb or less...lol
I find it easier if i use my thumb nail to the screen. it's a really good player IMO, if the seller
sold it as unhacked a 4gb i would have bought it.

yep, just start a claim and explain it's a hacked player, that you put 10GB of music on it and now you can't use it anymore..
don't send it back or accept replacements..
also no need to make threats about negative FB, just stick to the facts, and demand a full refund
if the seller isn't willing to issue a refund, paypal will close the dispute after a while and refund you in his place

in the end, you'll get a free player..

guess it depends, have you started any claims already?
don't start a claim for a faulty product
choose something like 'not as advertised', meaining you didn't get what you payed for

if you got the unit shipped to you without tracking codes, you can claim you never received anything
but don't go that way if the seller has proof of shipping & arrival
