Default how to remove memory hack

Please help me, I have no idea how to go about doing this.

I just bought a 16gb touch screen mp4 player that has hacked memory. Does anyone know how to remove the hack so I can get it recognize the 8gb that I suspect it really has?

here is the url of the listing on ebay

16GB 2.8" Touch Screen MP3 MP4 Media Player Camera - eBay (item 250599631204 end time Mar-19-10 14:12:56 PDT)

thanks for all of your help

Ted

Hello, I have had several of this type of player, in my experience this would most likely be a 4GB, but could possibly be a 2GB. It will never be more than 4GB.

To unhack it try this guide first: ChkFlsh method (revised)

then this one if that doesn't work: How To: Removing Memory Hack
