2.8" touch mp3/mp4 freezes at welcome menu.

Hi, Ive just purchased a 2.8" touch mp4/mp3 player from ebay, it is new. It was working vary good all day, but after a long transfer of files to and from the device it got a bit warm. After that it froze up on the welcome screen, the starting screen. And hangs at welcome loading. Is there some way to get this to stop being froze? I have hit the reset button but after turning it back on it is still froze. I am going to let the player's battery drain and see if it pulls it out of it. Is there anyother thing I can do to fix this? Here is a link to it.

Does your computer detect your player still even though it's frozen on the Welcome screen? If so, then it's not completely dead and I would then try FORMATTING it (after backing up what you need of course).

Thanks for the reply, well my comp does not detect it. I know it was a cheapo player but it was actually vary nice, and worked well. I was unsure on where to put the ebooks, so I had made an ebook folder in the txt folder on the player. But this caused it to duplicate some files and folders for some reason and would not delete it. So I transfered about 6gigs of music off the device, formated it, and then transfered the music back on. All was well so I turned the player off. about 10 minutes later I turned it back on to put some ebooks on and thats where it froze at the welcome screen. I have disconected the battery, and drained the battery with no luck. It is still stuck on the welcom screen saying loading. Im possitive it has somehting to do with the firmware, or software. But with no way of connecting to the pc I have no clue on how to fix it. I mean even being a cheapo player there has to be some kind of disk mode, or service/diagnostic mode I would think. But if there is I have no clue how to access it.

anybody? There has to be some solution to this. Is there a way to hard reset the device?

This player will be memory hacked for sure, 32GB no way.
Ask the seller for a refund and send it back.

Thanks for the reply, as for being memory hacked it wasn't to my knowlege. It had the full 32gb on the player, and if that is what memory hacked means then thats a plus. I did get a full refund and they are sending me another one. But I still wanted to get this guy fixed. I contacted the support section of chinawholesaler, I beleive was the name. they sell a similiar model and Maybe they can help me out. But until then Im still racking my head on fixing this. If the software is corrupt there has to be some way to flash it, or reinstall it. But without it connecting to the computer Im stumped on how to do this.

Same problem with my player from ebay . Unfortunately that the seller has already removed from ebay and I was left with this non-working player. So what we have - I think the player is based on the Anyka but not Rockchip.
