Default Help with Camera in mp5 player

Hello all,

I need help again, this time with the Camera section of the mp5 player. I have clicked several photos, but I can't view the pic - there is no pic thugh the image number is - img000, img0002, etc, when the memory is checked through the computer. Also. when I add pics to the memory card, some of them can't be viewed - something about image format, but the pics are in jpeg format.
Have attached the pics of the player.Would be grateful for any answers

in the case of my player, it may just be the way the pics are rotated, if they are rotated 90 degrees, then they wont show. yours might have to have "landscape" or "portrait" pictures. look at the pics it takes, if they are taller and thinner they are "portrait", if they are shorter and wider they are "landscape" rotate the new photos to the same orientation as the ones the device takes, they should show up now.

Thanks for your reply, zack247. The problem is this - no pics are clicked AT ALL. They show up in the file list as img001, etc, and when mp5 player is connected to the Laptop, but there is NO image. Someone I know said something about a "folder" needing to be made - not sure how to go about that.

hmm...

is there a folder called "PICTURE"? if there is, is there a folder inside it called "PHOTO"? in my mp4 the camera saves to a folder called "PHOTO" in my "PICTURES" folder

you may just need to create this set of folders if they dont exist already.

There is a sub-folder called "Photo" in the "Pictures" folder with files, but none of them .jpg. There are saved in the main "Picture" folder.... Just the file name. And none of the image editors/viewers open the file. And it's the same thing with some of the pics I have added to the folder from the PC. When I try to open them on the mp4 player, it says "Exceptional file, please play another file." No thumbnail either.

Tried uploading the file here, so you could see, but couldn't.... format error or something. And yet it is saved as .jpg

Really fed up!!!

Does windows recognize it as a jpg? or does it call it a "File"?

if it calls it a "file", right click and click rename. keep the title intact, but after that type ".jpg"
windows should see it as a picture now. see if it shows it, this may be the solution. (to viewing them on your pc, at least)
otherwise im not sure, try uploading to mediafire and post a link here so i can see what you have to put up with.

The file is saved as jpeg but uploading not possible. Have tried various sites.... I guess it is not being saved in the right, so will have to convert it and see...

hmmm....

i downoaded the file and windows 7 photo viewer says its unsupported, GIMP, photoshop and mspaint say its incompatible too, this is certainly strange, maybe you could contact the manufacturer, and they can tell you whats wrong? im not really sure whats going on here...

Am thinking of formatting again. Still had the same problems before... So now what do I do after I format? Do I download something or just create new Folders named PICTURE, EBOOKS, etc?
You should also know - Some of the pics that I have transferred from the PC, when I try to view them on the player it says "Exceptional file, please lay another file" and there is no thumbnail either.

Does your player come with a SAMPLE photo/pic that you can look at it's specifications?

I know I had a player that couldn't read pics if the resolution or quality was too high (probably doesn't have the processing power to do it).
Also, I would suggest copying whatever you currently have on your player to a folder on your desktop somewhere, then FORMATTING your player. Check what file system it uses firstly (FAT, FAT32 etc) so when you format, it's in the same format.
Then try copying some folders across one at a time and see if your player works ok with the pics and other functions such as music, video etc....
