Unhappy Help! Player does only start with USB

Hello,

2 years ago, I bought an mp4 player.
The 1. thing I want to know is, which one I bought, because since a couple of days it only starts with a connection to my PC via USB and I want to look for a new firmware.
I also can not transfer files because my computer doesn't recognize the player.
My computer says something like : USB device can not be detected
I took some photos of it

So what can I do ? I don't want to hear music while I'm sitting in front of my PC...
Which Firmware could I use? And what's the name of my player?

Maybe the battery is dead. When you plug in a USB cable it gets powered by 5V usb voltage. I would open up the player and measure the voltage on the battery.

I agree, the easiest thing to try right now is a DIFFERENT USB cable to see if that helps. I've seen a lot of these players coming with faulty USB cables.

Try that and let us know of the result.

Hello,

I tried a different cable but nothing happened. My player says that the battery is full loaded but it doesnt start at all. I opened my player today and i saw some liquid near the battery. I think i have to buy a new battery. The user manual says that it has got a 3.7V battery. I looked for a battery like that but they are very excpensive... I think I'll buy a new one, but this time I'm not gonna buy a no-name player without guarante.

Thanks for your Help

Tekey

Sorry to hear about your player.
Did you buy it online or from overseas?
