I have this Mp3 Player the i got from lightinthebox.com as a gift, Here. I was wondering if i could do anything with this player, like put on new firmware.

It's an Actions chipset player from the firmware version.
It's best to NOT update the firmware, given the high risk of using an incompatible firmware and rendering your player 'dead'. All you need to do is look at the "Dead Players" section of the firmware.

If your player works fine, best to leave it as it is.
