Cannot switch the volume harder or softer.

I have a problem with my mp3 player. Since a while i can not switch the volume louder or softer any more. I think it is a problem with the hardware. I have some pictures so you can see it what i mean. Has anyone a solution for this problem because i don't hear anything. And if i listen to my fm radio on this player than i can change the volume louder or softer.

When i will change my volume i have to press the button who's in the middle of my player. And when i do this then you see this: Look on the picture
