ipod nano4gen clone hold function and PC not picking it up
 

yea i went to the fashion district in LA and i bought an iPODE nano clone i think its 4th gen cause it dosent have a camera. um... i want to know if theres a new firmware out for it and what it would be under i coherently have it saying

o and how do you put it on hold if theres a way to do it cause i got an on and off swich on the top.

Do you have a picture of your player you can see so we can see what buttons options you have? That way, we can give you some suggestions in terms of the old function for your player. I know some of my older player doesn't have the hold button itself, but rather a timer function so after about 20 secs, it will go into a 'lock' mode.

To answer your second question about PC not picking up your player, try using a DIFFERENT USB CABLE to see if that works. There's been known issues with some players coming with a faulty USB cable so it's worth trying a different USB cable to see if that helps.
