Upgrade Ramos T8 Clon

I have bough a Ramos T8 Clon.

Specifically this one: DealExtreme: $53.55 4.3" Touch Screen MP3/MP4/AVI/RM/RMVB Portable Media Player (4GB/480x272px/TF Slot)

It uses a Rockchip RK2706B, with major version 1.2.
Into the user manual says that it uses firmware Ramos970,

I'm not sure about that because I have extracted the firmware, and compared it with the Ramos970 2.6 version and my player firmware seems to be newer than that, even when 2.06 version is the last one.

Could some one help my to verify which is the real firmware version that my player is using?
Does exist some way to upgrade the firmware to improve th graphic interface (without modding) and set it up with the last video codecs?
