Unhappy [solved] How do i make my mp4 player read the micro sd card?

Okay so i have a rockchip MP4 player,2608A,8GB(verified).It works awesome but the transfer speed is ridiculously slow like a class 1.I have no choice but to make the expandable micro sd slot into use. However, when i insert it into the player,it detects it as micro SD card but when i click on the folder to ''expand'' my files, nothing comes up and i am not able to play my MP3 and Avi songs. All the audio and video format is supported by my player but my Mp4 just cannot detect the songs? Can someone help me out please!Did i do anything wrong? It would be greatly apreciated.

What file system is your Micro SD card formatted in? FAT32, FAT or NTFS? Try all three file systems to see if that works as I've seen a lot of players only taking one particular file system (generally FAT or FAT32).

Let me know how you get on.

Tried formatting my 8gb micro sd hc card in all available formats but it still dint work.Could it be that my mp4 is unable to read SDHC cards? If so,is there any tools to make my mp4 regconise sdhc cards?

Out of interest, can you try a 4GB card instead? I know some players may not take more than 4GB in size either.

Other than that, then yes, it seems your player can not take the SDHC cards. What about a normal SD card instead? Sorry, don't know enough about your player. Can you attach photos? That would be helpful. Or even a URL link of where you bought it from (if you bought it from an internet site that is).

Tried it with a 4gb in all formats but to no avail.I have done my research and found out that the player which i have bought is an old model and old rockchip players do not support sdhc cards.Looks like i have to fork out some extra money for a non sdhc card =(...Anyways thanks for your help regarding this matter!

Sweet. Not a lot of the players I know do support SDHC cards to be honest. So your player can take a normal SD card instead then right?
