Exclamation Problem with uploading files on mp4 player

Hi. I bought a chinese mp4 player recently. It looks like ipod classic, but I can't find it's name or brand. Anyway, I have a problem uploading music.

I have a list of 430 songs, but when I copy them to the player, it shows that memory space is used for all of them, but it shows only 146 songs on player. It's not a big problem, but it really drives me crazy.

Will be grateful for any kind of information. Thanks

Your clone may not have as much memory as you think. It could be one of many that are hacked to report fake information. There is a tool to verify this.

Go here

H2testw 1.4
and download the link labeled "Direct Download Of Software For version 1.4 of H2testw"
then run it on your player. It's a windows app. There is a Mac app listed on this page too...
More explanation here MP4 Nation Forums • View topic - Rockchip RK2608 (I think ) says "file format error"

If it passes: then a few more questions come to mind in troubleshooting:
how much space SHOULD it have (what was it supposed to be) (1GB, 2 GB, 4, 8, whatever)?
how large does your computer say the memory space is (like 1.5 GB out of 4GB full)?
how much space do the 146 songs take up on your hard drive (not on the player)?
how much space do the 430 songs take up on your hard drive (not on the player)?

This is what it has written:

Warning: Only 7961 of 7962 MByte tested.
The media is likely to be defective.
3.8 GByte OK (8038272 sectors)
3.9 GByte DATA LOST (8265856 sectors)
Details:0 KByte overwritten (0 sectors)
0 KByte slightly changed (< 8 bit/sector, 0 sectors)
3.9 GByte corrupted (8265856 sectors)
0 KByte aliased memory (0 sectors)
First error at offset: 0x00000000f54f0000
Expected: 0x00000000f54f0000
Found: 0x0000000000000000
H2testw version 1.3
Writing speed: 6.12 MByte/s
Reading speed: 9.30 MByte/s
H2testw v1.4

It should have 8gb.
It says 2.71 gb out of 7962 gb is full.
430 songs - 2.71 gb.
146 songs - 927.9 mb.

Earlier I could upload 700 songs, if I created a folder. Without a folder it showed only 146. Now this doesn't work.
