Using AVIconverter 3.0

Gday Folks,

I'm here for sort of another reason but I saw in the old forum when downloading AVIconverter 3.0 that someone downloaded it, tried to run it and it just stopped and crashed. This is what happened to me in Windows 7 Home edition, I have all my files encoded in WMV and no matter what I did to re-encode the wretched files the AVIconverter crashed.

Now to get around the 32 & 16 bit limitation and a crap email program in Windows 7 Home Edition I use Oracle's emulator and my old Windows XP Pro. It came as a thought that the last time I used AVIconverter was in XP so I set up a shared folder and shifted a WMV file across, downloaded AVIconverter 320x240 20fps and installed it and converted the file. BINGO!!

I hope this helps you.

I'm filing in MISC. forum why I had to get AVIconverter 3.0 running again if your interested.

All the best ERG.

Yeah I know about AVIConverter 3.0. It's worked for me but in the past I moved to iWisoft Video Converter and now to Any Video Converter. You have to be careful sometimes since some settings will make the video files unplayable. But with Any Video Converter the default settings in the Custom AVI Video Profile are fine, and can be customised.
