format question - turn it into fancy watch?
If I use the FORMAT command in my mp4's menu, does it totally erase everything, or just the files? Because I don't want to accidently delete the firmware.
Easychips identifies the 1.5" 6th-gen nano-like player as being by Actions. It appears to have the new "11 series" chips. I was hoping to edit the firmware to create/design my own fully animated clock/watch and basically use the mp4 as such, probably with a few different sounds as alarms and animations. Don't care if I lose the radio function or ebook function. Yes, I know the battery probably wouldn't last a full day even if I put it on to charge every night, but I can always hack in a battery to provide the right amount of power (but one that would last all day). --- A manual I found saved in the memory is titled "mx-d61 instructions, GL3966 design spec, davide". The firmware option in the menu gives this info 2011/11/29 1.0.04 2011.12.02 as211a_v1003 The chips on the board have this info: (board ID? found printed on the board) qs17c37 v0.2 (found on battery pack) PL301830 (larger chip - nearest one to cable that feeds LCD) 808s 29f64go8cbaaa (mid-size chip) AK2117 sb818BA (smaller chip) 5807ss jt081210 (found on the side of the LCD, guess its the LCD model, cause it ain't matching any kind of other info I can find) BL14441-xzc/10/11/22 (found on back of LCD) 2010-11-25 TT (found on the strip that feeds the LCD) fpc1441811 20101021 fgd 3g-22925 (the USB port scanner program gives this info) USB Device ID: VID = 10D6 PID = 1101 Serial Number: ________ Device Vendor: ACTIONS Device Name: HS USB FlashDisk Device Revision: 0100 Manufacturer: ACTIONS Product Model: HS USB FlashDisk Product Revision: 2.00 Chip Vendor: Actions Chip Part-Number: ATJ211x |
