Default Format Archos 14 vision

Hello,
I registered here, hoping that someone could help. I got an mp3-player Archos 14 Vision running a rockchip firmware. The problem with the player is that it is not formatted like it should. There is no partition table at all, one 4 GB partition for storing music and 3 other hidden partitions that are used for firmware I think.
So how do I get a partition table on the device without bricking it? I guess if I just create a partition table the firmware partitions will get damaged? I also cloned the whole device with dd. Can anyone say if I could restore the device by copying the image back on it?
