visual land visualland phantom not playing avi needs root?
 

Hi,

I just purchased a visual land phantom from k-mart. The main thing i want to do with it is insert an sd card with a lot of avi files and copy them to the internal memory. then be able to play them while sitting in my treestand. Now here is the problem. The "browser" although it has a select all button it does not seem to work. The next problem is the AVI files do not play. http://mympx.org/forum/images/smilies/icon_mad.gif

Is there a firmware/theme/ new OS that can be installed on this player? If i brick it i don't care i will just return it since it does not do what it is advertised to do anyway. the player has 8g of internal memory
