Hi glynnie,

I do remember getting that error too, can't remember exactly what I did to fix it as I tried a number of things and it works .

What you can try is:

1. In the "setting" of the AMV Converter, put a tick in "try another codec" and then do the convert and see if that fixes the problem.

Otherwise,
2. You can also try install the codec packs, as the converter might not have the necessary codecs to re-encode the .avi file into an .AMV file.

Hope that helps.
Try that and let me know if it fixes the problem or not.

Thanks,
Binh

in the AmvTransform.ini file add the line
DISKSIZE=1600000000 under the section [Option]
that solved the problem for me

Hi Jocool
Thanks for ur info I added the line in the file and it worked well.I was also facing the same problem of "Disk Full".The converter wuld convert only 43MB of the file and will say disk full but now the problem is solved.

I am converting a 450MB AVI file into AMV will my file size increase after conversion?
And what does the value 1600000000 signify? Is it enough to convert 450MB file or will it give again disk full message?
Please clarify my doubts.
Thanks
prasanna

Hi Jacool
Earlier I have posted that the "DISK FULL" problem was solved, but sorry guys it didn't
By entering the line DISKFULL=1600000000 in the .ini file it converted upto 155MB of the movie and said DISK FULL.
I tried increasing the value to 480000000 but this time it converted only 38MB.
My movie file is 450MB
Can anyone help me out
regards
prasanna

Glynnie, Split the file ur trying to convert into 2 or 3 parts and then convert using AMV converter. There will be no problem.
use amv converter 3.68 i found it very stable than 4.0 version.
