how to convert DVD into AMV
Dear Binh,
I try to convert DVD into amv. However, the converter said wrong. Any idea or instruction I should follow. Kindly please help. Thanks very much.. Wendy |
Hi Wendy,
Can you play DVD's ok on your computer? It might be that your computer doesn't have the necessary codecs to convert it from DVD to AMV. Personally, I haven't tried converting a DVD to .AMV. There are also copy protections on DVD discs as well which might also prevent u from copying it or converting it as well. |
Hello Wendy,
There are 3 Step to convert DVD to AMV format and 3 software involved. The DVD Ripper, Video Converter and most of all the AMV Converter. Kindly download XilisoftDVD Ripper and Xilisoft Video Converter at xilisoft.com. I know you have AMV Converter. 1. Launch DVD Ripper, go to help then follow the instruction. The output format must Video cd (MPEG1) 2. Then launch also the Video Converter, click add button find the forlders or files you done from DVD Ripper, the click encode,at the profile must miscrosoft WMV format (*.wmv) 3. Launch the AMV Converter,at input file you find the folders or file you done from Video Converter, then press begin. Nothing more... Hope i can help someone............. Re: how to convert DVD into AMV
guest re. dvd to amv conversion.
ive downloaded the software as stated in your posting but the registration code for the dvd ripper comes up as invalid, is it the right code? the other program code works fine on that one. is there any other software that will work with the video converter if the code doesnt work? cheers skyrider1985 |
Guest,
What would you like to do? Convert DVD to AMV? Personally, isn't it easier to download the .AVI divX movie instead and then convert it to .AMV file? This way, all the hard work in ripping the DVD is already done as someone else has already ripped it for you. Has anyone here ripped DVD to AMV before? Successfully? If so, how long did it take you for a full length movie? I would be very interested to know.... |
Re: how to convert DVD into AMV
hi there. ive sucessfully managed to convert films now but i havent used the dvd ripper recommended as i couldnt get the code to work.
this is how ive done it dvd shrink 3.2 xillsoft video converter to wmv then amv converter to mp4 player. (file size around 191,500kb after conversion) works well no problems. the only thing is that i cant change the size on the amv program to a bigger viewing screen size (currently on the smallest setting thus not using a full screen to play movies). when i enter the settings on the amv program the viewing size isnt highlighted so i cant change the settings. any ideas on why not? it simply wont let me change the size end of! regards everyone |
Hi Guest,
Try this post here: http://www.mympxplayer.com/viewtopic.php?t=69 I've put together some steps on how to change the transformsetup.ini file so that you can convert your .AMV files to a larger screen size. Hope that helps you out. How long did it take you to convert a DVD to .AMV just out of curosity? |

Re: how to convert DVD into AMV
HI,
I've ripped DVD to .AMV using : Xilisoft DVD ripper Platinum (download free trial from www.xilisoft.com, and for you naughties there is a crack available on the net) This rips DVD straight to .WMV Then used AMV converter tool And it worked fine. GUEST (who can't get audio to work): Have you tried to view the file on your actual player? I can't hear audio through the AMV player tool, but the audio is fine when I load it onto the player. |

Egyptian,
Which program are you talking about? You can download DVD Shrink on our site: http://www.mympxplayer.com/dload.php...ile&file_id=79. It's FREEWARE. This can be used to convert DVD to another file so the AMV convert tool can convert it. Hope this helps. |
Re: how to convert DVD into AMV
Dear Sir,
I would first like to thank you for this site! I purchased two different players for my kids and if you were not here, I would have thrown the players away! Converting video software works great. Here is a link for a free (Beta) site with tons of videos to download: http://www.veoh.com/home.html Thanks again! |
