Re: Jump Free AMV

Hey,

I found the problem about jump in amv files after conversion, the meant to be frame rate of an AMV file is 10fps but videos of mpg usually more like 30.

Because AMV Converter tool is not so successfull at rearranging frames u have to do it with a software like Virtual-Dub and set the frame rate to 10.

The thing I would like to know now what is the fps rate of AMV file when I select frame rate 'high' in AMV Convertion Tool ? So that I can pre-encode my videos with higest possible frame rate Thanks.

Re: Jump Free AMV

doruk,

I believe it's 12 fps.
Go to: C:\Program Files\MP3 Player Utilities 3.68\AMVTools and open the AmvTransform.ini file there.

There should be a line that says:
VIDEOSIZE=96X64(8;10;12),128X96(8;10;12),128X128(8 ;10;12)

Well, I know that the samples we have on our website were encoded directly through the AMV Convert Tool. The original frame rate (found from Virtual Dub) is 23.97fps and 25 fps. They seem fine.

I think if you have a video that has 30fps, then you should convert the fps in Virtual Dub back down to a standard NTSC or PAL fps rates of 23.97fps or 25 fps.
